This is a table that i got from Al-Qabas news papre of the bank and loan companies that give loan to buy a car, it shows the interest rate over a number of years the highest one is KFH and the lowest ones are NBK and Al-Awsat bank

PQ Seafood Chowder

 

Yesterday, we had dinner in PQ Palms branch. It was very quiet, only two tables were taken. The reason was to try some of their new items and the seafood chowder soup. We had:

Seafood chowder soup (in bread bowl) — Excellent

Sweet corn chicken soup — Good

Shrimp salad — Very good

Pot roasted chicken — Good

Overall we liked everything, but would recommend the seafood chowder!

In previous post, I said “It’s just good memory of San Francisco”. Well! It was not a memory, but rather it had the spirit “fishiness” of San Francisco 🙂

The one in SF was very creamy (they use milk in it) but the PQ one did not have cream and was lighter.

*Note, you need to ask for the bread bowl. There will be 0.500 KWD charge.

Swiss watchmaker Ulysse Nardin presents the Chairman phone

It’s fancy, fashionable, pretentious and extra expensive. It’s both a mechanical watch and a smartphone. It takes 5 megapixel pictures and has Wi-Fi module. It’s touch-enabled and it’s called the Chairman phone.

The Swiss watch manufacturer called Ulysse Nardin have decided to hop on the mobile phone express and created their own luxury smartphone called the Chairman. What’s most surprising about it is not the exterior, but rather its specs list.

The Chairman packs a 2.8-inch capacitive multi-touch screen, a 5 megapixel camera, has Wi-Fi connectivity and a fingerprint scanner used for unlocking the thing.

Being the world’s first hybrid-powered smartphone, featuring a regular rechargeable battery plus a watch-like kinetic rotor system. It allows passive recharging on the battery while you are on the move – just like a wrist watch. Unfortunately, there is no word how much power will this kinetic system produce.

The Ulysse Nardin will offer the extraordinary Chairman in Stealth Black, Rose Gold, Rose Gold & Blue, Rose Gold & Steel and Steel & Blue.

We guess, by now you’re already itching to know the price – unfortunately, it’s not revealed yet. But we are sure that those of you who would want to buy the Chairman won’t really care about the number of zeros on the price tag. 😉

True or Myth the new American currency print

I got an email from a friend that shows the new print of the American currency. What I noticed is that the 1 dollar bill is cancelled and a 200 dollar bill is introduced, maybe they will retune to 1 dollar coins.
I guess it had to deal with the financial slump and maybe counterfeit bills or a political reason with China?
Can anybody confirm if this is true or a myth? check the prints below
